Established in 2001 after enrolling at the AFDA film school, Hollyveld Entertainment grew up alongside the modern South African broadcasting industry — DSTV, SABC, shorts, features, documentary and commercial work. Today our content reaches audiences worldwide through online outlets, broadcasters and partner studios.
What we make
Folklore horror, crime drama, political thriller, music videos and long-form documentary. Our catalogue spans more than two decades.
Where we work
Our production base is split between Cape Town and Johannesburg. We shoot on location across southern Africa.
Why it matters
African stories have long reached the world through translators. We make work that does not need to be translated — only watched.
